Disney Long Paris, a three-hour walk in circle (after Richard Long)

In the Val d'Europe, an area near Paris built around the Disneyland theme park, not a blade of grass is out of order on the freshly mowed lawns. There’s nothing less wild than this landscape, which – one guesses – probably wouldn’t have interested English artist Richard Long. Yet, like him, I'm on a circular path. I don’t have to draw the shape: all I have to do is follow this strange path and move forward under the perpetual gaze of the Disney hot air balloon.
(fr) À Val d’Europe, cette zone proche de Paris construite autour du parc d’attraction Disney Land, pas un brin d’herbe ne dépasse des pelouses fraichement tondues. Rien de moins sauvage que ce paysage qui n’aurait - on le suppose - probablement pas intéressé l’artiste anglais Richard Long. Pourtant, comme lui, je suis un sentier circulaire. Je n’ai pas à tracer cette forme : je n’ai qu’à suivre cette étrange route et à marcher sous le regard continu de la montgolfière Disney.
