About the artist :
Born in 1999 in Brest, Jeanne Yuna Rocher is a graduate of the National School of Art Marseille. Her work has been featured at the Centre Pompidou during the Hors Piste Festival and at Cent Quatre in Paris for the Némo Bienniale. Jeanne Yuna dream and fantasize about many other realities—digital, psychic. As an artist, it’s an escape that drives her; and then share her imaginings and relationship with mental confinement. Crossing the realms of digital arts and sculpture in a saturate colorful style, she strive to make a domestic space immersive while questioning the power dynamics and domination occurring within. Guided by encounters and theoretical inquiries, her work aims to illuminate unexpected solidarities in individualistic environments. The artist explore the relationships we maintain with our own projections onto the world and others, as well as the dynamics of projection between individuals. Her projects are shaped by the stories of online communities, neighborhoods, and the audiovisual realm, where a social confrontation embraces the interplay of voyeurism and isolation, or conversely, collectively challenges it.
